Introduction

James Robinson offers a range of fluorescent dyes for a large number of applications. These are special dyes that glow when exposed to UV light.

The fluorescent dyes give high colour strength and fluorescent intensity with good stability and light fastness properties. They may be used in applications such as printing inks, plastics, synthetic resins, penetrant liquids for crack detection; non-destructive testing (NDT), tennis ball dyeing and incorporation into resin pigments.

The dye technology was inherited from Holliday Dyes & Chemicals (HDC); a former sister company, who ceased operation in 2001.

A particular strength of Holliday Dyes and Chemicals was the manufacture of high quality fluorescent dyes for a host of end-user applications. Incorporating the combined expertise of James Robinson and Holliday Dyes technical, production, research and commercial staff, James Robinson have completed a comprehensive transfer programme in a brand new purpose-built production facility in India, where the dyes are now produced to the strictest quality standards.
